EPIC Promotes Ken Sipes to Project Coordinator

SipesProST. LOUIS, MO  – EPIC Systems, Inc. has announced the promotion of Ken Sipes, as
Project Coordinator. Sipes has 12 years of industrial manufacturing experience and has been an integral part of EPIC’s full service engineering, fabrication and installation project management team for almost 5 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and has completed EIT certification.

Prior to EPIC, Sipes worked for United States Steel Corporation and icon Mechanical. His duties ranged from project management to scheduling and estimation. He gained valuable communication experience on industrial projects with a variety of craftsmen, contractors, sub-contractors and owners.

Sipes has been with EPIC for almost five years as a Project Manager/ Process Mechanical Engineer. In this role, he has been responsible for estimating, mechanical process design engineering, plant fabrication management, on-site construction management, project quality assurance, offsite modular FAT, production/ startup and commissioning (at production rates) for turn-key process parts.

As Project Coordinator, he has earned additional responsibilities to manage all plant related activities, including: manpower scheduling and performance evaluations, plant/ building improvements and tooling/ equipment asset analysis. He conducts EPIC’s Quality Control Certification Program, through plant fabrication and constructability examinations and application reviews for EPIC’s project management team.

Dave Jett has worked alongside Sipes for over five years, and believes he is the perfect fit for the role. “Sipes is respected by everyone he works with, and understands how to keep a project in scope and on time.
