ST. LOUIS, MO (10-12-16) – EPIC Modular Process Systems has announced the hiring of Nathan Porter as senior project engineer. Porter graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Georgia Tech. He also received his Master of Business Administration degree and is currently working towards his Master of Engineering in Energy degree in Environmental and Chemical Engineering (EECE) from Washington University in St. Louis.
Porter brings over eight years of process system design experience, primarily in sulfur technologies to EPIC Modular Process Systems. Prior to EPIC, he worked for a fortune 500 chemical plant design firm where he started out as a process design engineer, then promoted to a research and development. Most recently, he worked in business development as a technical liaison for marketing process technology licenses.
As a senior project engineer, Porter’s main responsibilities include modular chemical process system design and construction for the polymer, pharma, food and beverage, and chemical industries.
He interfaces with clients on a conceptual level to extract project specifications and develop conceptual layouts. He relies on his experience and knowledge to determining the most effective approach to solving engineering obstacles.
