St. Louis, MO – Each year, EPIC Systems honors one of its employees with its highest honor – The EPIC Way Award. The EPIC Way Award is given to the employee that best exemplifies the EPIC principles and values set forth by EPIC President John Schott.
This year’s award recipient Tim Schelp was presented with an engraved crystal trophy by Schott at the 2018 company meeting.
“When Tim comes into the office each day, he is a truly a joy to be around. Humble yet confident, Tim has earned the respect he deserves from peers, clients and suppliers alike. Moreover, Tim’s selflessness and willingness to make sacrifices for EPIC made this year’s EPIC Way choice an easy one. I am so blessed to have Tim on the EPIC team and am honored to present him with this award,” stated Schott.
In addition to the award itself, Schelp also received a $5,000 trip. Present for the announcement was Schelp’s wife Lyndsey. When asked her thoughts about Tim’s recognition, Lyndsey simply said “He deserves it.”
Schelp was honored to receive the award. “I’m blessed to work at an organization that values the characteristics that the EPIC Way stands for. It speaks to the culture established here starting all the way at the top with John [Schott, President and Owner]…We really have an exciting place full of special people here at EPIC.” he shared.
Ken Sipes, the Process and Mechanical Group Manager at EPIC added “For the past five years I have been privileged to manage and lead Tim. He is the kind of guy who simply earns the respect of everyone he meets. Every day he comes to work and gives me and EPIC more than a fair day’s work and willingly takes on more work just when you think he can’t take anymore. In doing so, he consistently delivers excellent results with success. He is a real pleasure to be around and I look forward to being part of what he can accomplish in his next five years.”
