Most Challenging Modular Process Piping Design Project:
Process Modules for Natural Gas Fractionation Facility
This project included the design and build of process modules in the raw feed dryer & amine regeneration areas of the plant. We worked with the client to develop and review the arrangement of equipment, piping and instrumentation located within (12) modules.
“My role was to manage the project through piping design, structural design, structural engineering, pipe stress analysis of approx. 500 lines, release of isometrics, purchasing of all assembly materials, purchasing of all manual valves, QA/QC tasks in pipe fab. & assembly shops, MTR collection for all valves, coordinating owner provided equipment & instrumentation, and shipping to the job site, said Nichols.”
Through dedication and careful planning through each project phase, the project was completed successfully.
Nichols’ family encourages him to succeed professionally. “My family is number one, and they are the reason I strive to do my best every day,” said Nichols.
Nichols enjoys spending quality time with family. His favorite activities with his kids are playing ball, taking them on motorcycle rides and golfing. “We also enjoy going on vacations to the beach,” said Nichols.
