Many people, when asked how they define the success of a project, offer the traditional answer that, “the project was delivered on time, within budget and performed as expected.” While this is a reasonable answer, and a critical factor in the success of any project, John Schott, President of EPIC, believes the answer goes deeper than that.
John considers a win-win relationship between the customer and supplier to be the key ingredient for any project’s success. When a customer gives the supplier a fine reputation to live up to, it ignites a sense of ownership and responsibility in the supplier for the project. It drives the supplier to go the extra mile to ensure the project is delivered to the customer on time, within budget and perform as expected, or even better than expected. This win-win relationship is what drives the determination for excellence and project success.
