Ellen Reflects On Her Time As A Marketing Intern At EPIC
Looking back now, I could never have imagined what EPIC would mean to me. Everyone at EPIC is passionate about what they do. They have taught me to continually strive to do my best.
When I started working here I realized that the people who work at EPIC are passionate about their jobs. They care about the work they are doing and want to do it better than the competition. It is amazing the amount of work this company can get done, and I am glad that I got to be a small part of that.
One of the most important things I have learned while at EPIC is to always strive to do the best at what you do. Although it is not necessarily marketing related, I think that it is something that is crucial in all walks of life. I have witnessed time and again, the professionalism and hospitality of this company win over clients. Whether it was staying late to ensure the job gets done right or offering a guest a bottle of water, EPIC is always putting its best foot forward. I think that the little things that our employees do for not only our clients, but for one another speaks volumes of our character.
While working at EPIC I discovered my passion for social media marketing. I spent a lot of my time posting things to our seven social media platforms. I like the fact that EPIC has resources for employees, friends, family, vendors, and clients to see what EPIC is up to. My favorite platform was the blog. I enjoyed working with John on the President’s Corner posts. It gave me an opportunity to get to know more about the company from his point of view and develop my interview skills.
As I leave EPIC to pursue my own passion I will always remember the knowledge that I have gained while working here. I am sad that I am leaving such a great company, but I know that what I have learned while I was here will help me be successful in my future endeavors.
The relationships and the skills that I have learned here are immeasurable and I am grateful for the opportunity to work for such an amazing company.
